How to buy a computer according to our needs

How do you buy a computer and according to what needs?

Personal computers have become more and more common over the years. It's safe to say, that buying a computer is always easier than building it ourselves. Both ways have their advantages. The following article is intended for those who are interested in purchasing the personal computer adapted to them, and also some advice for the builders among us.

In this article, in order to make the process easier, we decided to write it as steps, of course this does not mean that these are the only steps, but we can definitely say that these are the main ones.

So let's start…

1. Know your computing needs. For example, are you an average internet user or a gamer? Think, what you want to do on your new customized computer. Have you always dreamed of building a new Flash website? Do you play online games? The kids maybe? Or do you tend to find the latest games just coming out? Know your computer hobbies.

2. Buy a computer that fits your current and future needs. Don't just buy any computer! For example, if it is an expensive computer (and there is no shortage of such today), whose specifications and technical content are intended for example for video editing, and you are not involved in video editing, then just don't buy it!

We can divide the types of computers according to needs, into several categories:

average value calculators – These computer types are good for the general needs that every computer user needs. For example, checking e-mails, surfing the Internet for work and fun, and typing jobs in various Office programs, but these computers are not specifically intended for other needs. These computers can be defined as average home computers.

The leading computer manufacturers, including DELL, HP, GateWay, and others are usually excellent for these needs, and offer a computing package and maximum technical specifications for the above needs.

Average gaming PCs – Many of us have children who are simply addicted to the advanced computer games. These games usually require high technical data from the computer such as: a good graphics card, high speed, etc. In these computers we usually find the technical specifications that these advanced games "require".

Advanced work computers - When we say computers for advanced work, we obviously don't mean any kind of work. After all, in many workplaces, the work requires the simplest technical data, so there is no need to buy these types of computers. On the other hand, different types of work require extremely high data to achieve the best desired output. Usually these computers will be excellent for editing different types of media. Many who deal with editing music, recordings, etc., will need one of these computers. Recording and editing software at a high level are software that not every simple computer can have, therefore it is important to invest in the technical specifications of such a computer. In addition, high-level film editing will also require one of them. Not every computer from a good manufacturer will be good enough for them, so it is very important to find out and even choose the contents of the computer. Dell's XPS, Dell's Alienware, Northwest Computers, and a few others are generally considered top names in this field.

Many users in this field usually build their personal computers from different parts that they buy separately.

3. Invest your time in checking and comparing the various data of the computer - processor speed, memory, hard disk space, video card and other features that you would be interested in having on your computer. This is what will help you find the best deal.

4. Look for alternatives. It's easy to miss opportunities if you're not looking for them. Do you have friends who understand the various computing matters? Never hesitate to contact and consult. Contact anyone who may be of use to you. Many people also build their own PCs and will be able to provide significant advice prior to your purchase. If you are looking for an extremely powerful computer, buying parts and assembling the computer yourself is usually cheaper than a single package that you would buy from a store. If an understanding friend is willing to help you with the matter, the matter can be much more profitable both financially and professionally. It is important to emphasize two main factors in this way. The first, that the friend who understands, is really a friend who understands and may not throw your large investment down the drain. And of course buying the right and good parts in order to achieve maximum results.

Avoid this if all you need is an average regular computer.

5. Check fit. If you buy parts to build the computer yourself, always check the quality and compatibility of the different parts. Many parts will be of high quality by themselves, but when combined with other parts, they may pose all kinds of problems. That's why it's important to check the fit of all the different parts before assembly. For example, if you buy an LGA775 motherboard bracket, make sure you also fit an LGA775 processor to it. If you have any doubt about the compatibility of the various data, do research and check in every possible way.

Particularly important adjustments that you should pay attention to:

Motherboard - adapted to the processor, appropriate graphics card (PCI-E or AGP), memory type and speed.

Processor - Intel or AMD and the type of socket and bracket.

Memory - the type (DDR or DDR2) and speed (PC3200/DDR400 or PC2-6400/DDR2800)

Power supplies - how much power will you need for the various parts of your computer so that it doesn't crash?

Buy a new computer you can trust. The serious computer manufacturers will be able to give you dedicated service without any problems. That is why you must also think about the warranty aspects and the various services that the company offers you. You don't want to end up in a situation where one of the parts of your computer will encounter a problem and there will be no one to solve it especially after investing a lot of money.

tips:

  • Always check the technical specifications of the computer before buying.
  • Conduct a survey of places and prices in as many places as possible in order to buy the best and most affordable for you.
  • Don't buy an extra large hard disk! It is better for you to buy two smaller ones in order to store the information in separate places.
  • A hard disk is another machine, and every machine comes to life from time to time, so it is better to have the information stored in different places. That way you will have a backup and that way you won't lose all the material on your computer.
  • Mentally calculate that the lifestyle of your computer is for 3 years or less, and not as many think 5 years or more.
  • Don't forget that this is a machine made up of many other machines. Every machine as we mentioned encounters problems and even dies at some point.
  • Parts of the computer become obsolete and are renewed in the same way. Generally, it is more expensive to repair old parts or an old computer than to buy a new one.

Warning – Never buy the most expensive computer because "money doesn't lie". You may think it's the best computer, but it may very well not be suited to your needs at all.

Successfully.
