How do we know which system is suitable for our organization?

No organization remains fixed in its business/organizational situation for long. Sometimes, changes are imperceptible and sometimes they generate tangible organizational changes. Adjusting the information system should help the organization realize its business goals, maintain and optimize its core processes. Therefore, the way to test software compatibility is to ask several questions:

  • Do I manage the core processes inside or outside the information system?
  • Do I produce business/operational reports from within the information system, outside of it or not at all?
  • Is all my business information in the information system, or scattered in Excel files, notebooks, papers and more?
  • Can I produce information based on source data in one place, and be sure that this information is up to date?
